Magal practiced family law in Vancouver for close to twelve years. Her practice involved all aspects of family law, including parenting arrangements, child and spousal support, and property and debt issues. She acted for clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation.
In 2020, Magal returned to university to complete the LLM program at the Allard School of Law at UBC, where she researched relocation cases. After graduating in 2022, she was fortunate to join Access Pro Bono as the project manager of the Virtual Family Mediation Program, and as one of the Everyone Legal Clinic's supervising lawyers.
Magal enjoys writing on family law issues, and developing continuing legal education programs. She has volunteered at various organizations over the years, including at the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, where she is the incoming co-Chair of the Family Law Committee, and at the Virtual Legal Clinic at Rise Women's Legal Centre, where she is a volunteer lawyer.
Magal loves practicing yoga and spending time outdoors whenever possible.
