Laura Bass (she/her)
Laura earned her BA in Classical Studies at the University of Alberta where she wrote a thesis on sex work in the ancient world, focusing on the intersection between gender, literature and power dynamics. She recently completed her JD at the University of Victoria, where she was actively involved in student organizations like Pro Bono Students Canada, and where she participated in an exchange with the University of Sydney.
Throughout law school, Laura worked for several Victoria-based non-profit organizations, such as Beacon Community Services and the Aboriginal Coalition to End Homelessness Society. These experiences deepened her interest in social justice and her commitment to eliminating barriers to access to justice by helping individuals navigate the legal system.
Laura is excited to provide legal services in Tofino where she can combine her legal practice with her love of surfing.
