Maryam's journey to legal practice began with her earning a pre-law bachelor's degree in accounting, followed by an LLB and then an LLM (International Law) in 2018. She earned a second LLM (Common Law) from the Allard School of Law at UBC in 2022.

Before studying law in Canada, Maryam gained valuable experience as a litigation paralegal at two prominent international law firms. Working alongside diverse teams of lawyers, she assisted senior counsel in preparing for hearings and trials.

She also enriched her legal knowledge by spending a year as a legal assistant at a boutique law firm in Vancouver. There, she honed her skills across various practice areas, including real estate, immigration, civil litigation, family, and corporate law. She is now thrilled to be a part of the Everyone Legal Clinic, where she eagerly provides accessible legal services to underserved communities, particularly in North Vancouver.

During her leisure time, Maryam finds joy in cooking and traveling, thus adding a touch of adventure to her life beyond the law.
