Nicholas graduated with an LLB from the University of Leicester in England. He returned to Canada and completed an LLM from Queen's University where he studied Legal and Political Theory.

Before going to law school, Nicholas obtained a BFA in acting from UVic, and travelled up and down the West Coast in an old Westfalia camper van. He still enjoys theatre and traveling, but he has also become passionate about the law, access to justice, and empowering his community. Originally from Victoria, he now lives and works in the Comox Valley where he enjoys the wonderful golf courses and the many local festivals and markets.
