Priya Badhan (she/her)
Priya is a Kelowna resident and clinician serving the wider Okanagan community. She graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from Okanagan College in 2022 before obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2025. Priya specialized in both Law and Social Justice and Indigenous Legal Studies, and was a recipient of the Beverley McLachlin Legal Access Award.
During her time at law school, Priya volunteered with the Community Legal Assistance Society and completed a clinical externship in the re-emergence of W̱SÁNEĆ law.
Priya chose the practice of law as she believed it would best enable her to understand and honour her privilege to serve others. Her educational and professional experiences, as well as her connection to the experiences of her ancestors, inform her understanding of the importance of increasing access to justice. Priya finds the work of advancing the dignity and equality of all to be profoundly fulfilling, and could not think of a more personally suited place to article than the Everyone Legal Clinic.
Outside of work, Priya volunteers with various human rights organizations. She is fluent in Punjabi and French, and conversant in Hindi. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and painting.
