Paria graduated with a JD from the University of Victoria. She is pursuing a legal career that engages human rights law and public interest law. She believes that legal aid should be accessible for all, and is proud to be serving her community through the Everyone Legal Clinic.

As a law student, Paria volunteered as an immigration consultant for the Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Society, and as a dialogue facilitator for Restorative Justice Victoria. She also briefly worked for the Community Legal Assistance Society's Human Rights Info Line in Vancouver.

Paria has pursued her interest in human rights by advocacy through organizations such as Lawyers Rights Watch Canada and Amnesty International. In 2023, she received a master’s degree in International Human Rights Law from the Geneva Human Rights Institute.

Paria is proud to be an immigrant of Iranian descent, and believes that her lived experiences as a woman, as an immigrant, and as a mental health advocate can help her in making others feel heard. Her extra-curricular interests are quite diverse, and include true crime novels, French existentialism, Lilo and Stitch, and mystic Persian poetry! She is also a huge fan of dogs of all shapes and sizes, and can’t help but wave at them on the street.
