Fatemeh Azizi (she/her)
Fatemeh served local and international businesses in Iran as a barrister and solicitor for 15 years. Her areas of expertise included corporate and financial law, and covered foreign investments, finance, operations, and trades within Iran's capital market. She also advised startup companies, and represented clients in court and arbitration proceedings.
As someone committed to community service, Fatemeh also served as counsel for non-profit organizations, and contributed to the Women Business and the Law project in Iran from 2016 to 2019
Fatemeh's academic journey is also marked by many accomplishments, including an LLB from the University of Tabriz in 2001, and an LLM in Public International Law from Shahid Beheshti University in 2004. She completed another LLM in International Legal Studies from American University in Washington DC in 2016. And she further expanded her legal knowledge with an LLM of Common Law from the Allard School of Law at UBC in 2023.
Fatemeh is fluent in both English and Persian, enhancing her ability to navigate and contribute effectively in diverse legal contexts.
