Justin Choi (he/him)
Justin obtained his BA (Honours) in Sociology from UBC, and his JD from the Allard School of Law at UBC. He is pursuing the practice of law to help people. In his life and career, Justin has met many people who have been unjustly shut out of the justice system—due to lack of funds, language barriers, gender, disability or stigma. He wants to use his legal skills to make sure that everyone gets the help they need, and the justice they deserve.
Justin has worked and volunteered at Pivot Legal Society, Community Legal Assistance Society, the Migrant Workers Centre, the DTES SRO Collaborative, and the Vancouver Tenants Union. In his many volunteer and work roles, he has also worked with people with disabilities, survivors of sexual abuse, and 2SLGBTQ+ people.
Justin is involved in the Korean diaspora community and is fluent in Korean. In his spare time, he likes to go birdwatching, make tiny sculptures, and fiddle with his growing fountain pen collection.
